Richard McKie is an associate in the San Francisco office of Manning & Kass. Mr. McKie's practice consists of E&O professional liability defense, with a primary focus on the defense of real estate brokers and agents.
Mr. McKie received his J.D. from Pepperdine School of Law in 2016, where he was a three year recipient of a merit based scholarship. During his time at Pepperdine, Mr. McKie also received a certificate from Pepperdine's top ranked Straus Institute for Alternative Dispute Resolution.
In 2012, Mr. McKie received his B.A. in psychology from the University of California Santa Barbara (UCSB). During his time at UCSB, Mr. McKie was a member of the school's division one men's lacrosse team, and graduated with Dean's honors.
Prior to joining Manning & Kass, Mr. McKie's legal practice focused on the defense of medical device manufacturers, physicians, hospital staff, and other health care professionals. During that time, Mr. McKie was honored to be given the opportunity to second chair and defend a physician at trial. Following three weeks of testimony and further evidence, the jury returned a complete defense verdict. The plaintiff in that lawsuit was seeking damages in the eight figure range.
