June E. Poyourow is a senior counsel in the Los Angeles office of Manning & Kass, and a member of our Professional Liability and Real Estate Teams. For over twenty years, Ms. Poyourow has handled the defense of numerous professional malpractice litigation and disciplinary and ethics matters for real estate and design professionals, including real estate agents, brokers, appraisers, escrow officers, inspectors and insurance brokers. During her thirty-year legal career, Ms. Poyourow has become familiar with many aspects of claims and litigation. Her practice also includes defense of real-estate related disciplinary matters, including state board investigation and Administrative Agency hearings and defense of real estate Agents and Brokers before the Department of Real Estate (DRE), and defense of Appraisers with license investigations and Complaints before the Bureau of Real Estate Appraisers (BREA). In addition to her real estate litigation experience, Ms. Poyourow has handled trust and estates, family and dependency law matters as well as fraudulent personal injury cases.
Ms. Poyourow was born in Long Island, New York. She is a proud graduate of SUNY Buffalo, with a dual Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Social Sciences. After receiving her BS degree, Ms. Poyourow spent one year working as a farm volunteer at a Kibbutz in Israel. She then moved to California and enrolled in the SCALE Program at Southwestern Law School. While attending law school, Ms. Poyourow worked in Southwestern’s law library, edited the school’s law journal and interned with attorneys who specialized in appellate work. Ms. Poyourow holds a real estate agent’s license, and is a current member of the Real Property Law Section of the California Lawyers Association, the Association of the Southern California Defense Counsel, the Association of Discipline Defense Counsel, the real estate sections of the Los Angeles County and Beverly Hills Bar Associations, as well as the Los Angeles Climate Change Initiative. In her spare time, Ms. Poyourow enjoys cycling at the beach, swimming, yoga, traveling to foreign lands and live theatre.
