Ian R. King is an associate in the Phoenix office of Manning & Kass. Mr. King focuses on defense litigation in the areas of general personal injury and professional liability. Mr. King also specializes in the handling of first and third party SIU matters.
Prior to joining Manning & Kass, Mr. King was selected to participate in the Diversity Legal Writing Program sponsored by the Maricopa County Bar Association. Mr. King worked as a Diversity Legal Writing Intern at Jones, Skelton & Hochuli. Then, in the summer following Mr. King's second year of law school, he worked as a Summer Associate at Tiffany & Bosco, where he experienced a multitude of practice areas including, family law, criminal law, corporate law, and appellate work.
Mr. King earned his BA in Political Science and Psychology, from the University of Washington (2012) and a JD, cum laude, from the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University (2018).
Mr. King was an associate editor for the Law Journal for Social Justice, where he edited articles submitted to the Journal. He also worked in the Arizona State University College of Law Civil Litigation Clinic. As a member of the Civil Litigation Clinic, Mr. King conducted client interviews, filed motions, negotiated settlements with opposing counsel, and appeared in court on behalf of his clients. Upon graduation, Mr. King received the highest distinction for his pro bono work throughout law school. In addition to his pro bono distinction, Mr. King received the Trial Advocacy Fellowship Designation.
